TEAM GEORGE ASSISTANCE TO VENEZUELAN ALUMNI - REDUCING
MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION AMOUNT IDEA
Thank you
for your integrity, tenacity, commitment and big heart, George.
I have always been concerned that we could best serve only those
individuals who actually have a need not a want.
I'd be grateful if Adolfo and Ladislao would confirm who those are?
Part of what has stymied our efforts in Trinidad is that in the minds of
many that question has not been sufficiently answered.
Looking forward to responses?
Yours truly,
Joe

Hola
Adolfo,
Thank you very much for the confirmation for receiving the February
funds.
Great that you again have access to the internet after so many weeks
without it.
We are well gracias a Dios and pray that you and yours continue to be
well too.
Your idea to decrease from $50 to $30 is a good one.
Will do it when the contributions stop…so far this month I have already
received $250 and we have $1487 in the Team George bank account.
Si Dios quiere, the current team members will continue to contribute and
hopefully we can get new members to join Team George.
Suggest that you and the rest of the group work with Ladislao to include
an appropriate article about Team George and its assistance in a future
Circular; inviting alumni to join Team George.
Have asked Ladislao in the past to do it but he has not done it so
far.
I have also heard that some of the alumni in the group are receiving
assistance from their families/friends in addition to the Team George monthly
donations.
Perhaps we can temporarily eliminate them when/if the funds become
short; what do you think?
Joe has shared that he will become involved again in a few months or so;
this will greatly help everyone.
Did you receive the memo that I issued on 1st February
that summarizes the status of the current fund raising effort?....and the other
ones that I issue at the beginning of each month to keep everyone informed in
an honest and transparent way.

Hi Joe,
Please read Adolfo’s note below.
Am including you to keep you informed of this proposal and the other
ideas. Appreciate your feedback as applicable.
Un fuerte abrazo,
Jorge
Please be
extra careful and stay healthy, safe and sound,
George

REPORT OF TEAM GEORGE'S FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO 13 ABBEY SCHOOL ALUMNI IN
VENEZUELA
Good
afternoon dear George,
I pray that you, your family and your team are all well.
The company transferred the money to all the old accounts on Monday. I
thank you all and God bless you always.
George, I have a suggestion for you, as it is becoming very difficult to
get funds and people to collaborate with it due to coronavirus that have touch
their economies,
I think that you must low down the amount for each of us up to $30 USD,
I present you this possibility as this is a help that born from your heart to
help us and not an obligation is better to receive something than nothing and
we will be more economically tight but always grateful to you all for helping
us.
Just study this suggestion as a possible solution, because it is not the
same to recollect $360 a month than $650 a month and with the recollection you
have up to now it will last a few months more than only just 2 months.
Jesus bless you.
Regards
Adolfo

Hola
Andres
I have contacted Salvador and Raul a few times over the last couple of
years…no response from them. Suggest that you do it.
They do not know who I am.
At this point I have reached the limit of what I can personally do to
get more folks to join our team….have exhausted a number of different
approaches.
Have been involved in this quest for 2 plus years…….going out dozens of
times in a number of different ways to a total of a few hundred or so: alumni,
family, friends, acquaintances, work and university colleagues, etc.
The current donation level is not sustainable to continue to assist
y’all at the current level of $50/each/month.
I need the help of the 13 of you sharing your needs with your friends
who live outside of Venezuela.
Without it, the current donations will probably cease soon and Team
George will cease to exist.
Team George currently has 30 members…..only 10 of these are currently
contributing >$100 per year……12 or so have made 1 single contribution over
the last 2 years………8 have made a few contributions at $25-$50.
So far only Joe Berment-McDowald has responded to my note this morning
…..stating that he will be working with us:
-----------------.
Dear George,
I'm burnt out after doing what I did practically by myself for as long
as I did whilst blowing a big trumpet to make the effort appear much larger
than it was, in the hope of getting others to commit.
Now we have no formal organisation and that makes going forward with the
new fundraising efforts that I had initiated here in Trinidad impossible.
Give me a few months to get my footing back and God Willing I'll work
with you,
Joe.

BOTTOM
LINE……THE CONTINUITY OF TEAM GEORGE BEING ABLE TO ASSIST THE 13 OF YOU…..”ESTA
EN SUS MANOS”………”Y DE LOS OTROS HERMANOS DEL ABBEY SCHOOL”……QUE DIOS LOS
BENDIGA Y A LOS SUYOS.

extra careful and stay healthy, safe and sound,

Dear
Brothers,
I need your help.
As you read my memo below, you will find that at this point and time
there are enough funds to help you in March and April.
Beyond that am not sure if we can continue to assist each of you with
$50 per month. Will share whatever is contributed in the previous
month…if any.
In order to be able to continue to assist you on a monthly basis, Team
George needs new members who can contribute to this effort.
Over the last 6 months, I have tried a number of different ways to
attain this…so far 3 new members have joined and contributed to assist you.
Attached is the MSB database where you can find friends from your time
at the Mount. Please share this or any of my past notes, create your own,
use WHATSAPP and any other social media forum to invite them to join Team
George so we can continue to help you.
They are more likely to respond more to you, their friend,…..than to me,
a complete stranger.
Thank you so much for doing this.
Que Dios los bendiga y a los suyos.
Please be extra careful and stay healthy, safe and sound,
George

tener.
Saludos,
Valerie Pecquet.

It is very
possible that we are talking about my father's older brother (Alain) who was
actually called that.
Responds to name
and age.
On the other
hand, I regret to have to tell you that my uncle died about 15 years ago in
Canada due to a fall from a ladder.
In any case, I
am at your service to give you all the information you like to have.
Greetings,
Valerie Pecquet.
